JLA Group Today, I announced on the above website that I was putting it into “stasis.”  The website and the stories on it have always been a labor of love for me ever since I saw both John & Shayera  so heartbroken in “Starcrossed. That story inspired me to write. And from those horrible first stories came an inspiration (prodded by a suggestion from the wonderful Merlin Missy) to collect “my small tales” in one spot; hence the website: BillA1’s Justice League Fan Fiction was born.

Even when people would steal my work and publish it under their own name claiming authorship, I kept the site up. But I’ve come to realize that the thefts have, in fact, taken a toll on me and I’m not longer interested in providing free stories so that others may steal them to bask in reflected light. This, I think, is the reason I haven’t published in more than a year, although I have stories in various stages of completion.

Additionally, last month Boomerang finally stopped showing Justice League Unlimited, ending the program’s two year daily run and thus taking the program completely off the air.

Freezing the site seems like the right thing to do at the moment. It won’t stop the thefts, but it does give me a feeling of control and that’s all I ever wanted – a feeling of control for the products I created.
