I confess.  I’m probably one of a handful of people besides Bill Gates who actually likes Microsoft and the products it produces.  Honestly?  I was a bit perturbed that it took Microsoft so long to respond to the effective Apple Mac commercials.  They needlessly Windows 7allowed their brand to be beaten to a pulp before they finally got an ad campaign which responded back. They only got it right on the second try with their “I’m a PC” campaign.

I’m not going to kid you.  I thought the new release of Windows 7 would remove the poor advertising campaign that launched Windows Vista from the public memory.  Yes, I know that’s a great deal to ask from a company like Microsoft, who manages to shoot itself in the foot at every opportunity.  The latest foot damage is a result of windows security updates produced in the last three weeks.  Thanks to these updates, we no longer have to worry about the infamous blue screen of death (BSOD).  Microsoft has found a way to change the color to black.  There is a fix for this new phenomenon (problem), and if you Google it, you will find it on the web.  I won’t put it here. But, here’s my point.  Microsoft needed 60 days of no problems with Windows 7  in order to install public trust and confidence in this new operating system.  And they didn’t get it.  Can’t wait to see the next batch of Apple commercials lampooning this Windows fiasco.  Well, there’s always Windows 8.
